The Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has announced that it expects
software and services exports from Chandigarh and neighboring Panchkula and
Mohali to grow 32 percent to
$11 billion during the 2008-'09 financial year.
According to STPI projections, its units will make exports to the tune of Rs
9 billion and special economic zones will post exports worth Rs 2 billion.
In the previous fiscal, the software and services industry here toucheda
total value of Rs 8.22 billion compared to Rs 5.61 billion during 2006-07
