New Delhi-based Computer Media Dealers Association (CMDA) will be launching its
web portal cmda.in by the end of August. Through the website the association
will inform members and the IT industry about its activities
Talking about the same, Manoj Khanna, Secretary, CMDA mentioned, “Members of
CMDA were looking forward to an initiative of this kind from us. This portal
will keep the industry informed about the association's activities, achievements
and any other relevant information.”
In addition to this, committee members have also extended support to 13 of
its members who have allegedly been duped by a Janakpuri-based dealer. CMDA had
logged a complaint with the Economic Offence Wing (EOW) against a dealer in the
month of July following which representatives of the association met up with
officials at EOW to take the matter further.
Khanna added, “EOW has asked the affected parties to submit documents
pertaining to the case. These documents include copies of bounced cheque,
invoice etc. The crime branch within EOW has assured us that inquiries will be
made once the documents are submitted. As representatives of CMDA we are
extending full support to all the affected members.”
The partner had allegedly duped 13 members of CMDA to the tune of Rs 50 lakh
in the month of March this year.
