Com-IT aims big
Wednesday, November 19, 2008

Traders' association of Information Technology (TAIT) is organizing its second IT exhibition and conference-Com-IT Expo 2008, from Nov 20 to 23 in Mumbai. Through the expo the association aims to offer a common platform for vendors and channel partners to showcase their products and technology solutions, launch new products and services, interact with people, enhance brand equity and brand awareness and network with the key Indian IT industry players.

On offer would be a large variety of products and services and a chance to interact with end customers, as the first two days of the expo would be for the B2C segment, where the vendors would be able to reach out directly to their end users.

Having a triumphant opening last year, the expo is all set to become an annual feature in South Asia APAC region.

The expo is being held at MMRDA grounds at the Bandra-Kurla complex at Mumbai, and around 300 Indian and overseas exhibitors would be show casing their products and services.

“This time it's going to be on a bigger scale than last year and we definitely expect more people to join us this year,” said Chetan Shah, Director, TAIT. “All leading brands are participating and we hope to offer a common place for vendors, channel partners, IT managers, decision makers and of course end customers to get together and interact and evaluate the latest trends and technologies of the IT industry,” he added.

The last two days of the expo would be for end customers as it would be open to the public. “The last two days would allow end users, who actually are sometimes left out, an opportunity to network with the service providers and give feedback too,” Shah stated.

Last year around 30,000 visitors attended the expo and this year as it gets bigger, more footfalls are anticipated.
