Addressing the channel community in New Delhi, Ironport held a roadshow with
the objective to inform the partners about technological upgradation of the
S-series web security appliance.
"We took the opportunity to inform our channel that our hardware has been
upgraded and it enables machines to perform faster, enhances computing power of
CPU and allows more storage as well," said Steve Ledzian, Senior Corporate
Systems Engineer-APAC, IronPort Systems.
The roadshow concentrated on e-mail and web series technology, feature of the
products and functionalities of the recently released softer version of S-series
web appliances. In addition, Ironport shared its strategies to supply lower-end
models to address the SMB and middle level market in India.
"Right now we are focusing on the middle and lower level of enterprises. Our
approach towards SMB segment has increased and starting from enterprise section,
we are now funneling to address the middle level enterprises. We are informing
our customers that with the newly upgraded hardware and web series, we are
aiming at the lower end customers because it is not only enterprises that needs
to be protected but the SMB segment too faces the same web security threats,"
said Ledzian.
Speaking further on web security threats, Ledzian informed, "Today spam is
about 90 percent of all the e-mails so only one out of 10 messages are
authentic. Therefore, our main concern is how to get rid of spam e-mails without
accidentally removing the messages that are important."
Number of partners present in the event was 15. The event was also held in
Bengaluru.
