Confed-ITA to elect new members

Confed-ITA will be electing its office bearers and executive committee for 2009. The present executive committee (EC) will gather in Tirupur to decide the next executive working committee and office bearers-including the President.

“14 associations under Confed are conducting their own EC meetings to nominate the team for the next term,” informed S Karthikeyan, President, Confed-ITA.

He also said that the current executive committee would gather to decide on the next term based on the deliberations of the EC meeting in every association.

This time Puducherry, Vellore and Chennai associations will elect the President of Confed-ITA, Erode and Salem will elect the VP; Madurai and Dindugal-Secretary; Trichy-Treasurer; Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanyakumari-Joint Secretary and Coimbatore, Nilgiris and Tirupur-another Joint Secretary.

“Before the next EC meeting of Confed, the new team will be decided and they will work on Confed's annual summit, with the guidance of the current executive committee,” Karthikeyan added. The elected new team will take over during the forthcoming annual Confed-ITA summit that has been proposed for this November.

“The new Confed team will be appointed from Jan 1, 2009 to Dec 31, 2009,” informed PN Prasad, VP, Confed-ITA. “Guidelines to choose the office bearers were discussed during the EC meeting in Kanyakumari.
