Bangalore IT.biz 2008, a three-day mega event from Nov 6-8, will be a
platform for IT/ITeS and other allied businesses for Indian as well as global
companies. This event will be the 11th edition of ICT event. It will include
conference and round tables covering numerous verticals like healthcare,
telecom, education, cyber and national security, green technologies, GIS and
special technology and an exclusive round table by the Government of Karnataka
on rural IT policies. A special emphasis will be on manufacturing, with 'IT
manufacturing-Made in India' by MAIT and 'Advantage India – Solar PV' by ISA.
For this event the partner country will be Mexico and the partner state will
be Gujarat. A 50-member delegation from Mexico, including the Minister of
Economy, government officials and industry representative and similar delegation
from Gujarat will be taking part in Bangalore IT.biz 2008. Representatives from
other countries like Germany, Japan, Denmark and UK will be participating in the
event as well.
Participating companies are Infosys, Wipro, Cisco, Intel, AMD, Siemens,
Nokia, BSNL, Airtel, HP, IBM, Dell, Oracle, Texas Instruments, TCS, etc.
Throwing light on the event, R Rajalakshmi, Director, Software Technology
Parks of India, Bengaluru said, "We have for the first time integrated the STIP
Export Awards with Bangalore IT.biz. We have various categories of awards for
outstanding performance and contribution in the ICT industry and an excellence
awards will be announced for the outstanding participation in Bangalore IT.biz."

she added.
