Amtex Systems launches InfoBuild India
Thursday, October 30, 2008

Amtex Systems announced the launch of InfoBuild India, a new venture floated by the company in association with Information Builders. The new company will take care of sales, maintenance and support of 'WebFocus' which is a business intelligence (BI) solution. WebFocus is designed to help enterprises make better and informed decisions, ensuring higher productivity during the current challenging market conditions.

C Chandramouli, IT Secretary, Govt of Tamil Nadu formally unveiled the venture in Chennai on Oct 16, 2008. InfoBuild India will operate in India with its headquarter in Chennai. The company has already set-up its office in Delhi. Amtex Systems has committed an initial investment of Rs 20 crore to the new venture and has hired over 150 professionals in the first phase to provide marketing, sales and maintenance support for WebFocus and iWay software adaptors of InfoBuild.

Sunny Pokala, President, Amtex Systems said that the primary intention of InfoBuild India is to support the existing clients of WebFocus across India. Pokala said that the company aims to generate Rs 100 crore in the first two years of operations.

InfoBuild proposes to take the BI solutions of WebFocus through both direct and channel route, where it would tie-up with solution providers and system integrators across the country.

Explaining the reason behind launching the company during a slow down period, Pokala said, "BI is a solution that would benefit companies during these difficult times by identifying the voids in the business and keep the companies informed about that. It will also increase the productivity by cutting unnecessary expenses," Pokala said.

The company will primarily target retail, BFSI, telecom and manufacturing sectors for taking the product ahead.
